St Nicholas the Pilgrim is a Greek boy born in 1075, who met Jesus when he was eight years old and received the prayer of the heart from him. He was venerated as a saint by Catholics and remained so for about nine centuries. In 2023, the Greek Orthodox of Italy included him in their liturgical calendar. A truly ecumenical saint, he has much to say to the pilgrims who come to Jerusalem today. His life is written in the book by Msgr. Natale Albino, diplomat of the Holy See.

On 16 November, on the occasion of the Canonisation of the Martyrs of Damascus in Rome, the Custody of the Holy Land organised a symposium at St Saviour's Monastery in Jerusalem. The meeting aimed to pay homage to those who, with the sacrifice of their lives, have borne witness to the truth and the Christian faith.

The Dies Academicus of the Ecole Biblique et Archéologique Française and the Studium BiblIcum Franciscanum (EBAF and SBF) took place on 15 November at St Stephen's Church in Jerusalem

On 7 November 2024, Professor Francesca Romana Stasolla presented the progress of the archaeological excavations that have been going on in the Holy Sepulchre for two years now. It is an ambitious study project, but it is also a project of restoration and adaptation to the new requirements that includes securing the spaces of this extraordinary place.

At the conclusion of Pink October, the Latin Parish of Jerusalem organised an awareness-raising conference to highlight the importance of early breast cancer diagnosis.

Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa expresses his deep concern about the damage caused by the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and the entire Holy Land.
