An unusual summer serving the Custody of the Holy Land
09 August 2017
Every year, several people arrive in Jerusalem to serve at the holy places guarded by the Franciscan Friars and to rediscover their faith.
Francesca is retired, Christian is a teacher of religion, Alberto teaches religion too, but only in the morning: he is a swimming instructor in the afternoon.
Three stories that would never be intertwined, except in the Holy Land.
"I came on a pilgrimage many years ago and I fell in love with the Holy Land and with Jerusalem.
A few years later, my nephew told me not to worry, that he would speak to the Franciscans. He is a priest who came here to study and that is how my story in the Holy Land began. I have been here for the last seven years.”
