On Saturday, October 29, the Romanian community present in the Holy Land celebrated three young people receiving Confirmation. The ceremony took place in the Chapel of St. Charles Borromeo in the headquarters of the Vicariate's offices for migrants and refugees of the Latin Patriarchate. Presiding over the celebration was the Metropolitan Archbishop of Bucharest, Msgr. Aurel Percă, who laid hands on the three young people, invoking the gift of the Spirit upon them. Mgr AUREL PERCĂ Metropolitan Archbishop of Bucharest "It is always like a renewed feast of Pentecost, like the descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles that happened right here in Jerusalem. This gave me joy, because being here in Jerusalem, I renewed this feast together with three new apostles." This is the second time Msgr. Percă has administered the sacrament of confirmation to the young people of the Romanian community. AUREL PERCĂ Metropolitan Archbishop of Bucharest "Today there were three. I hope that when I return there will be more. May the community grow as the community of the faithful of the first centuries grew. And this is the Church." Fr CRISTIAN VACARU Spiritual Assistant Romanian Community "Today we had the joy of participating in the celebration of Confirmation received by these three young people, with the laying on of hands by Archbishop Aurel Percă, Metropolitan of Bucharest. Every Saturday, the Romanian community gathers here in this chapel to celebrate Sunday Mass."
